What Linear Gets Right
The pricing page is a clarity masterclass. Three tiers, clearly differentiated, with the Business plan visually anchored as the recommended option.
The feature comparison is limited to the five most meaningful differentiators — no 30-row spreadsheet. The self-serve free tier removes the biggest objection, commitment, before it forms.
The Missing Element — Risk Reversal
Nowhere on the pricing page is there a trial period, money-back guarantee, or cancellation policy. Linear's product quality likely earns trust through reputation — but a first-time evaluator comparing Linear against a competitor that offers "cancel anytime, no questions asked" has an unresolved anxiety Linear isn't addressing.
A single line — "Cancel any time. No contracts." — placed beneath the primary CTA would remove the last barrier for edge-case doubters.
Urgency Score of 7/20
Same issue as most SaaS pricing pages: nothing signals why now rather than next quarter. For a product with a free tier, the urgency argument is subtle but available: "Teams that start on Free typically upgrade within 60 days as the team grows." A data-backed urgency signal is more credible than a countdown timer.
The Highest-Leverage Single Change
Add "Cancel anytime · No contracts · SOC 2 compliant" as a three-item trust strip directly beneath the CTA buttons. This addresses risk reversal, enterprise compliance anxiety, and commitment concerns in one line.
